Strengthening Global Healthcare – Bridging Nations Through Nursing!
In a landmark initiative to uplift Pakistan’s nursing professionals, the American Pakistan Public Affairs Committee (AP-PAC) and Bait-ul-Maal Pakistan have joined hands to financially and professionally support Pakistani nurses in pursuing global healthcare careers — especially within the U.S. healthcare system.
A high-profile meeting was recently held in Long Island, USA, attended by:
Dr. Ijaz Ahmed – Chairman, AP-PAC
Senator (Capt) Shaheen Khalid Butt – Managing Director, Bait-ul-Maal, Government of Pakistan
Mr. Usman Anwer – Managing Director, Health & Education Foundation
Dr. Parvaiz Iqbal – President, Central AP-PAC
During the session, the leadership unanimously agreed to provide financial assistance and preparatory support to Pakistani nurses appearing for the NCLEX exam, which is mandatory to obtain a U.S. nursing license.
With AP-PAC’s tireless advocacy, 16 NCLEX testing centers are now approved in Pakistan — a groundbreaking move to bring U.S. healthcare pathways closer to home.
Central Park Medical College, Lahore is also set to sign an MoU with AP-PAC, enabling its nursing graduates to move forward with the American Green Card process, contingent on clearing NCLEX. AP-PAC will assist with training, documentation, visa guidance, and exam preparation.
“This collaboration will break financial and logistical barriers and open global doors for our skilled nursing professionals,” said Dr. Parvaiz Iqbal.
Mr. Usman Anwer applauded the joint efforts, adding:
“This is a transformative step toward international recognition of Pakistan’s healthcare talent. A proud moment for our youth and the medical education system.”
